The Problem.
Have you ever felt insecure?
Wanted to be someone else?
Lacked in confidence?
I am no exception.
Growing up I never connected to any of the girls in the media.
I did not look like them and they certainly did not look like me.
I hardly (if ever) saw :
–an Asian girl in the media
–a tutorial for single eyelid make-up
–someone 5’5′ or shorter (besides Kate Moss) walk in a major fashion runway show
–a model/celebrity that WAS NOT super tall and ultra thin
Fighting back.
that was discouraging…. But I didn’t give up.
I was not going to wait for someone else to make me feel better.
“I” wanted to take action and make a difference.
I’ve learned to appreciate myself and feel confident with what I have to offer.
No one has every thought of me as “model” material, I was not one of those girls “discovered” and brought to the industry.
I created my own path and encourage others to do the same.
After a hundred “No” answers, it only took one “Yes” to get me where I am today.
I am not passing judgment on whether or not it is right or wrong to follow beauty trends.
I am simply suggesting that women (and men) should feel comfortable in their own skin and not feel pressured to change (i.e. plastic surgery) because they do not fit popular beauty molds.
I also believe that today’s culture narrowly accepts very few forms of beauty, that very few people can live up to!
We must be open to different ideas (not ideals) of beauty!

I love how your ideas are unique unlike lots of models you go for standing out in the most unique way, and thats what gets you places so stay true to yourself and remember your standards! you mentioned that its okay to ask as many questions as i’d like so i ask you this whats the codeword? hahahaha <3 <4 <5!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i truly believe that Asian women in the United States are quickly becoming the most sovereign. As a whole Asian women are extremely intelligent, ambitious, and beautiful. These are the three main characteristics that give women like You, and most other Asian women the power to some day completely rule this country.
Take note in the rise of Asian Females on T.V. shows, in movies, playing the lead role. Fashion models, rightfully so, are again more and more of Asian descent. The rise of Asian women as C.E.O’s, M.S.O’s, of many companies, and more are now business owners themselves, with Americans working for them.
i tip my hat to You and all other successful Asian women. You are truly great role models for the others in this country.
