Women of Perfection

When: February 12, 2011
Location: Torrance, Holiday Inn

What an event! It was so much fun, who wouldn’t love being involved in an event with tons of beautiful models?
I was so proud of myself, I came prepared.. maybe even over-doing it? Oh well! Haha.
I used a Japanese yuukata as a “table cloth” and Japanese fans for decorations……
I figured, go hard or go home! And being that Torrance is like my second home.. I was NOT going unprepared!

In addition to the event, there were go-go dancers, a couple really hot fashion shows, a bikini contest and raffle!
I decided to opt-out of the bikini contest this year but who knows… maybe next year?

Dear Diary,

It’s holiday time… and it doesn’t seem like it’ll stop raining anytime soon! Anyways, it’s been awhile since I last wrote and my goodness! I have a lot to talk about. A little recap since Babe Expo (10-28-10!!):

So this Halloween I really wasn’t sure what to be.. I mean I admit I procrastinated on my costume and so it ended up becoming a mix between going to the club + pin-up + and nerd!! Hahaha not much of a suit but hey, I had fun!

–Palm Springs

For one of my roomie’s 21st the crew: Rachel, Theresa, Heidi, and I (minus Lynae ) decided to take a little trip to Palm Springs to celebrate!! We did some shopping, ate at this BOMB restaurant and enjoyed the nightlife!! The next day we went to the zoo the “Living Desert” !! I didn’t get to ride a camel but there is always next time!!

Wow! It was my first “official” event and I must say… I had so much fun! I met a ton of people and of course, because it is an event for Playboy, there were TONS of playmates there. On Saturday, Hugh Hefner even showed up for an appearance I didn’t have a chance to talk to him but I did get a good look<3 (More photos to come… but one of my favorites )

–Thanksgiving!

Yes, for Thanksgiving my family went to Las Vegas…. (AGAIN!) I drove up with an hour of sleep in me (not the smartest thing I ever did) but we  got there safe and sound The food was DELICIOUSSSSSSSSSSS but there wasn’t any cream corn [my favorite!!] Welps.. at least everything else was yummy<3 The first night the crap table was hot and I made some money off video poker too   The other nights… not so much, but I didn’t lose too much! *Whew! Then at night I did some major shopping (esp. on Black Friday) @Premium Outlets & Fashion Mall. The highlight of the trip though, has to be seeing…… the JABBAWOCKEEZ (America’s Best Dance Crew Season 1 Champions)!! SuperCrew (Season ? Champs) also performed but it is one show you HAVE to see if you’re into good music and some AWESOMEEEEE dance moves!!

–Mochitsuki

Mochitsuki is an event at my temple where we make rice cake or “mochi” from scratch!! There are all these steps…

1. Cooking rice

2. Processing it and pounding to make it smooth (get rid of grain-y texture)

3. Make it into round mochi shape and let it sit for cooling

4. Wipe off powder

5. Weigh and wrap for packaging

Its a fun and …well, messy process! But its a lot of fun Here take a look at a table of “mochi” that I helped make

–Random tree falling

I was eating lunch @a local Japanese market place when I am told about a tree that fell on top of a house! When I saw it.. it was literally less than a block away from where I was!! The tree was HUGE!! Here is a photo I took from my phone

IT’S HUGE! A photo was on the front page of the LA Times: December 20, 2010 !!

Well there’s a brief recap. I’m home.. still need to finish up some holiday shopping! The rain WILL NOT STOP COMING DOWN! (I love the rain but not when I’m sick *sniffle*)

Still new to the scene… I had no idea what to expect when I got there
It didn’t help that….I completely forgot to wear a costume!! o.O
(HAHA)
But it was okay, I still met a ton of really great people and had so much fun!
I even saw friends of mine from “collegebeat” (a broadcasting group @CSULB) at the event
and had a private interview with them!

Overall, I was also extremely pleased to see so many people <3
and felt more then ready for glamourcon in November

There was go-go dancing& the beautiful Jasmine Mai was MC.
I had so much fun, I can’t wait for the next event!!

Logo description:
The “kanji” or character on the bottom right stands for
determination and it rests on the petals of a “sakura” or cherry blossom flower.
Why?

Simple.
Success is not given to you, you have to work for it.
You have to be determined.
You have to view obstacles as hurdles and adapt according.
Part of this growing process is growing thicker skin too.
The modeling world is tough and you have to learn to accept criticism, and move forward.

By being determined, I have grown or “blossomed” [as cherry blossoms do ] and have had much success!
